Taking it one day at a time...
For the past month or more, Suzy has been spending a lot of time sleeping. Usually she'll sleep for up to twenty hours each day, I suppose sometimes more than that. She's been in a cycle where she'll sleep like that for a few days, and then have a day or two where she's feeling well enough to be up, watching TV for sometimes up to eight hours at a stretch. Though usually the eight hours will be divided throughout the day.
For the past week or so, Suzy has been spending most of her days in bed and hasn't really spent much time awake, watching TV. She's more tired and has been experiencing some shortness of breath. This is most likely due to the growth of the tumors in her abdomen, which create pressure against the diaphragm. Tonight we're expecting a delivery of oxygen and a nurse from the hospice agency will be stopping by. Hopefully the oxygen will give her a bit of a boost.

The nurse came by and said that Suzy is anemic. So we're going to go for a blood transfusion, probably on Thursday, and hopefully that will get her out of the rut. The oxygen has helped a little bit.
